Our Purpose

Boots of Faith came into its humble existence to honor and remember the gift of the life of Carson Muir and her short, but impactful 18 years.

Carson had an immense love for animals which deepened her faith and strengthened her trust in their creator. She had a driven work ethic that made her gritty and resilient. She was a young, talented freshman student-athlete studying animal and veterinary sciences. She loved her cowboy boots. She was a fierce competitor.

Her adventurous nature and strong sense of life took her along way from her Alabama home to pursue her dreams at the University of Wyoming.

It was her faith, character, humble spirit and joyful nature that inspired the creation of BoothsofFaith.org. Carson could always find the good in any situation. She had a gentle and joyful soul. She always wanted to put a smile on the face of anyone who needed a friend.

She had a contagious smile and giggle, and she embraced life and all it had to offer, yet, she was humble and wasn’t afraid to speak the truth. (Galatians 5:22-23)

WHOM DOES IT SERVE:

Boots of Faith will remember Carson’s legacy by facilitating various projects that will serve to plant seeds of faith, renew hope and assist with the economic needs or financial burdens that align with her character and spirit throughout the continental U.S. It would be cruel if only one ideal could be expended.

• We will focus our projects and work with both conventional schools and trade schools to help deserving men and women achieve their goals of continuing their education. (Philippians 2:3-4)

• We will work with the animal community to locate animals facing challenging, cruel or emergency situations. (Proverbs 12:10)

HOW DOES IT SERVE THEM:

• Boots of Faith will give scholarships to both conventional schools, as well as trade schools to help deserving young men and women reach their goal of continuing their education.

• We will donate to animal rescues to provide medical treatment, food, shelter and proper training to animals in need. (James 2:14-17)

THE BOOTS OF FAITH PROMISE:

• Boots of Faith will always be transparent and forthcoming in every area. We will provide donors with information to give them confidence in supporting our projects, ensuring every dollar donated is accounted for. We will be frugal and prudent with each donation. You can earmark your donation to a specific project or donate to the general fund which will be used to cover any funding gaps on projects we are promoting.

We will strive to donate 97+% of the funds raised to the project groups. Boots of Faith views its primary function to help forward progress of those with the kindred purposes of Carson Muir. All board member positions will be voluntary, unpaid positions. Only support staff positions (when needed) will be compensated in the Boots of Faith organization. Officers and board members have taken an oath that family, friends, and direct acquaintances will never benefit from any Boots of Faith project. (Galatians 6:9)

Galatians 5: 22-23 (NIV) – But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, forbearance, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control. Against such things there is no law.

Philippians 2:3-4 (NIV) – Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit. Rather, in humility value others above yourselves, not looking to your own interests but each of you to the interests of the others.

Proverbs 12:10 (NIV) – The righteous care for the needs of their animals, but the kindest act of the wicked are cruel.

James 2:14-17 (NIV) – What good is it, my brothers and sisters, if someone claims to have faith but has no deeds? Can such faith save them? Suppose a brother or a sister is without clothes and daily food. If one of you says to them, “Go in peace; keep warm and well fed,” but does nothing about their physical needs, what good is it? In the same way, faith by itself, if it is not accompanied by action, is dead.

Galatians 6:9 (NIV) – Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up.
